Privacy Policy

Indiana University Auditorium is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Indiana University Auditorium Web site and governs data collection and usage. By using the Indiana University Auditorium website, you consent to the data practices described in these statements.

Contact Information

IU Auditorium's ticketing program, Archtics (a proprietary user interface and database designed and owned by Ticketmaster, all rights reserved), houses the name, address, phone number and e-mail address of each account within the IU Arts Database, which maintains customer account and transaction data for the IU Auditorium, the Department of Theatre & Drama, and IU Cinema. This information is used to find tickets a customer has purchased, mail tickets, and contact via mail, phone and/or email about ticket problems, new events, and event changes. Should a patron purchase a ticket for any venue that operates under the IU Arts Database using Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster phones, or a Ticketmaster Ticket Center, their information is automatically populated into the database so each venue can accurately manage their inventory. Occasionally, IU Auditorium obtains updated mailing address data from Ticketmaster. This information is obtained from the National Change of Address database, maintained by the United States Postal Service, and other information services, and is automatically populated into a user’s account if one or more attributes match specific criteria set forth by IU Auditorium and Ticketmaster. Neither information gathered from this data feed, nor information provided by patrons, are shared with any third party vendor. To edit what contact information is on file with IU Auditorium, you may log in to the account by clicking “buy tickets online” under “tickets.” Then, go to account settings, where personal information may be edited.

Email

When an account is created with IU Auditorium, the account is automatically “opted-in” to receive IU Auditorium e-mail notifications. To be removed from the mailing list, log in to the account by clicking “buy tickets online” under “tickets.” Then, go to account settings. Once you get to that screen, click on “edit e-mail preferences” and uncheck the corresponding performance genres for which you would no longer like to receive email notifications. By opting-out of e-mail notifications, you will not receive information on added events, and special pre-sale and savings opportunities.

Survey

Periodically, a survey is e-mailed to patrons who are on the IU Auditorium mailing list. Participation in the survey is optional.

The survey may collect information on gender, age, ethnicity, yearly income, marital status, the number of children in a household, occupation, IU affiliation, Auditorium relationship, anticipated attendance, and types of events that would be found appealing or would be attended. IU Auditorium reserves the right to collect additional information that may assist in better understanding the audience the venue serves. Any additional information is optional and will not be required by the user to provide.

The Auditorium will use the information collected to study the demographics of the audience and to decide which events people would be interested to see. All information provided by the user is automatically populated into his/her account. This information will not be sold or shared with any third party. In addition, the results of the survey will not be used by Ticketmaster for any marketing efforts.

Financial/Credit Card Information

When a purchase using a credit card is made through Archtics, all data is saved and stored in compliance with PCI DSS. No individual from Indiana University may access this data at any time. All credit card information is stored to enable venues within IU Arts to refund or charge a patron without having the magnetic strip of the card present. Stored credit card data may be deleted at any time at the written request of its owner.

Computer Security

When a browser visits IUauditorium.com, IU Auditorium collects data using Google Analytics that help the venue better understand the needs and desires of its online audience. For further information on what data is collected by Google and how it is shared with IU Auditorium, you may visit the Google Analytics Terms of Service Page.
