Jacobs Live at the Movies comes to IU Auditorium for the first time, in a magical one-of-a-kind presentation of The Wizard of Oz. Experience the beloved 1939 classic like never before with the film shown in its entirety on the big screen as the iconic score is brought to life by the IU Symphony Orchestra which consists of talented students from the world-renowned Jacobs School of Music under the direction of conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos.
This unforgettable evening will merge the timeless wonder of Hollywood with the exceptional artistry of IU’s finest young musicians, making it a must-see event for film fans, music lovers, and the entire family.

Larry Groupé, an award-winning composer and composition professor at the Jacobs School of Music, will offer insight into the timeless score of The Wizard of Oz and share how Jacobs student musicians bring the soundtrack to life in this unique live-to-screen experience. This is a free event and open to the public.

Saturday, November 1: 10 a.m.
You're invited to Morgenstern's Books and Café to follow Dorothy over the rainbow for a special story time featuring The Wizard of Oz and other classic tales. Guests can meet Dorothy and take photos before she heads off to see the Wizard!
