Straight No Chaser Returns to IU Auditorium For Annual Performance as Part of Top Shelf Tour on December 17
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – A Bloomington favorite returns to where it all started as IU’s own a cappella sensation Straight No Chaser will take to the IU Auditorium stage as part of their nationwide Top Shelf Tour on December 17 at 7:30 p.m. In what promises to be another sensational performance, the evening will be packed with pop hits, holiday favorites, and plenty of laughs along the way.
After forming on IU’s campus, Straight No Chaser has emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fanbase and a long list of accomplishments including two RIAA Gold Certified albums, over 1.5 million concert tickets sold, over one billion streams on Pandora, and over two million albums sold worldwide.
SNC’s return to IU Auditorium is an annual tradition that audiences just can’t get enough of. And as they celebrate their return to campus, it is sure to be a special evening when the guys return to Indiana University.
“We can’t wait to welcome back IU’s very own Straight No Chaser as part of their Top Shelf tour,” said IU Auditorium Executive Director Maria Talbert. “Their harmonious voices and infectious energy have become a beloved tradition here, and each year we look forward to this special performance to cap off the semester. Alongside their successful headlining tours, the group has had dozens of major television performances and collaborated with artists such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, and Stevie Wonder. Their most recent album, Yacht on the Rocks, even included a collaboration with Toto’s David Paich. In addition, two of their eight LPs, Holiday Spirits and Christmas Cheers, have been RIAA-Certified Gold.
Community with Compassion Donation Drive
For this performance, IU Auditorium will be accepting donations at entry ways on behalf of Exodus Refugee, an organization that welcomes refugees and asylees from many countries and cultures and helps them establish new lives in Indiana.
Exodus Refugee is asking for new or clean/gently used outerwear and warm, thick socks for all ages, including the following wish list items:
• Heavy coats
• Hats
• Scarves
• Gloves
• Winter boots
• Socks
