About the Artists

Lauded by Il Corriere della Sera for “obtaining powerful and refined colors from the orchestra, taking great care of the beauty of the sound, giving the narration a swift and theatrically effective pace,” praised for his “well focused conducting” (Il Giorno) and for “instilling drama and excitement in every note” (Seen and Heard International), Vincenzo Milletarì is one of the leading conductors of his generation from Italy. In the 2024-25, Milletarì made his debut at the Teatro di San Carlo with Attila ; as well as returning to Göteborg Opera with Otello; the Prague State Opera with La traviata, Tosca, and Rigoletto; and the Royal Swedish Opera with La bohème. On symphonic stages, Milletarì debuted with the Orchestra dell’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, conducting an all-Puccini program, as well as returning to the Oviedo Filarmonia in Spain. The 2025-26 season will see Milletarì return to the Royal Swedish Opera with Aida, Teatro di San Carlo with Turandot, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano for a concert performance of Il trovatore, and Toscanini Symphony Orchestra for a concert performance of Carmina Burana. He will also make debuts at the Glyndebourne Festival with Il turco in Italia; Teatro Coccia in Novara with Macbeth; Teatro Petruzzell in Bari with Il trovatore and Falstaff; and conducting Brahm’s Deutsches Requiem; as well as symphonic concerts with Gothenburg Symphony and the orchestra of Teatro la Fenice.
