Event Description
Indiana University’s Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) presents the 24th annual Big Man On Campus (BMOC), an all-male talent show where participants from across campus compete for the title of Big Man on Campus. Survivors from all over the country gather to watch the biggest philanthropic event on Indiana University’s campus.
Throughout the year, ZTA keeps the IU campus engaged through tournaments, exciting social events, merchandise sales, and countless other activities that make fundraising both fun and impactful. ZTA's hard work is celebrated when the grand total is announced at the end of this annual talent show. As IU's largest Greek organization focused on philanthropy, ZTA is committed to positively impacting the Indiana University campus and beyond.
BMOC continues ZTA’s longstanding commitment to the fight against breast cancer. ZTA donates funds to local research with the IU Simon Cancer Center and Dr. Hari’s groundbreaking breast cancer research, directly fueling education, awareness, and advancements in treatment. Additionally, ZTA partners with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, and the NFL. One in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Thegoal is to help make pink just a color again!
This year, BMOC holds an even more personal significance as ZTA rallies behind their sister, Kate Johnson, who is bravely fighting rhabdomyosarcoma for a second time. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Kate’s Krew, supporting her care and her physician, Dr. Van Tine, who is leading her treatment.
A statement from Kate Johnson:
“Each day brings its own challenge, but I meet it head on and overcome it. I've endured weeks of chemotherapy, and the incredible support around me has fueled my positivity and determination to fight this cancer. I'm still the same smiling, upbeat Kate Johnson, growing stronger and pushing forward every single day—not just for myself, but for everyone I love. I remind myself daily pain is temporary, and this journey is shaping me into someone even more powerful than before. We’re never alone in this fight!"
BMOC is more than a talent show, it’s a night of celebration, resilience, and hope. Above all, ZTA will fight for all those who have been impacted by cancer, honoring their strength while working toward a future without it.
