Ticketed Event Parking
Free Parking and Shuttle for Ticketed Events
Starting in 2026–2027, Poplars Garage will no longer be available for free event parking or shuttle service.
Free parking and shuttle service will still be available from Henderson Garage. IU Auditorium is also adding a new shuttle pickup location at Sample Gates, providing a convenient option for guests who plan to dine or spend time downtown before a performance.
Guests may board the shuttle at either Henderson Garage or Sample Gates for drop off at the front entrance of IU Auditorium before the performance. After the performance, return shuttle service will be available to both locations.
Garage Entrance Location for Free Event Parking
- Henderson Garage - Two entries available from either Indiana Ave. or Fess Ave. between 3rd St. and Atwater Ave.
The shuttle begins 75 minutes prior to the event start time and provides frequent pickups. When the curtain goes down, the shuttle returns you to the garage or Sample Gates.
Parking gates at the garage will be open at the end of the event for exit.
Accessibility Parking
The limited parking located around Showalter Fountain is exclusively reserved for those with State-issued disability tags and/or IU Auditorium Circle Passes.
Recommended Paid Parking
East Parking Garage: Event parking is available for $10 (debit/credit cards only) for events taking place Monday–Thursday evenings. Free event parking is available for events beginning at 6 p.m. on Fridays and available all weekend through Sunday.
New in 2026–2027, East Garage will transition to fully cashless parking. Parking attendants will no longer be stationed at East Garage to collect payment, so guests parking there will need to complete payment upon arrival. Guests may pay using the payment kiosks located in the garage or through the ParkMobile app.
Ride Share Pick Up/Drop Off Location
If using a ride share provider such as Uber or Lyft before or after events at IU Auditorium, a designated pick up and drop off location is located just north of IU Auditorium near the IU Cinema main entrance.
When ordering your ride on a ride share app, you will be directed to this pick up/drop off location.
