Community Engagement Committee
Started in 2009 by the student managers and volunteers of IU Auditorium, the Community Engagement Committee (CEC) coordinates activities and projects that benefit the local and larger communities in a multitude of ways.
Here are just a few of the organizations CEC has helped:
- Habitat for Humanity
- Hoosier Hills Food Bank
- Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
- Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Bell Trace
- Tunes for Troops
- Bloomington Animal Shelter
The CEC also is responsible for social activities such as the Winter Formal Dance and the Spring Banquet which rewards and recognizes the volunteers for their hard work over the year.
Any student who volunteers at or is employed by IU Auditorium may get involved with the CEC. The CEC holds monthly meetings where volunteer and manager representatives coordinate new projects and activities for the student group at large to participate in. If you are interested in finding out more information or how to get involved, contact the committee at firstname.lastname@example.org!
