Tickets to IU Auditorium Season events may be exchanged during box office hours, up to 48 hours prior to the first event. Exchanges are subject to a $5 per ticket exchange fee (this fee is waived for Auditorium subscribers). No exchanges may occur within 48 hours of any event, and exchanges must be performed at the Auditorium Box Office. For additional information, call (812) 855-1103.
Will Call tickets can be picked up at the Box Office 24 hours after ordering or the day of the event. Customers must present the actual credit card used for the order, a picture ID, and the confirmation number.
Student Discount Policy
Student priced tickets to IU Auditorium events are available only to registered students of IU Bloomington. We are able to provide this discount due to funding from the IUB Student Activity Fee. A student ID is not required to purchase student tickets (anyone may purchase as many student priced tickets as they like), but a valid IUB Student ID must be presented at the door when entering an event with a student priced ticket. Any student ticket holder who fails to present an ID must upgrade their ticket to a general public ticket by paying the difference at the box office.
Event On-Sales and Lotteries
It is the practice of the IU Auditorium to hold a lottery for positions in the sales line for most on-sale events, in accordance with the practices of Ticketmaster and similar venues. IU Auditorium staff will distribute lottery tickets approximately one hour before the event is scheduled to go on sale. The amount of lottery tickets distributed will exactly match the number of customers in line. There is no need to arrive at IU Auditorium earlier than one hour before the scheduled on-sale time, though in order to participate in the lottery, ticket buyers must arrive at the box office at least 30 minutes in advance of the scheduled on-sale time.
Third Party Ticket Sellers
Please note that while most third party ticket sellers are practicing legitimate forms of commerce and that reselling tickets is legal in the state of Indiana, there is no way for IU Auditorium to guarantee the validity of tickets purchased unless they are purchased through our box office or Ticketmaster.
IU Auditorium prides itself on offering a diverse selection of arts entertainment. Not all productions may appeal to or be appropriate for every person or for all ages. Therefore, patrons are encouraged to familiarize themselves with shows in order to make informed decisions prior to purchasing tickets. If at any time you have any questions about content or themes, please feel free to contact the Box Office at (812) 855-1103 and we would be happy to provide you with that information.
Infants & Small Children
Everyone must have a ticket including infants carried in arms. Please note that most events at IU Auditorium are not appropriate for preschool age children.
Tickets to events presented by the Department of Theatre and Drama and IU Cinema are also available at our Box Office; please visit their websites for information on events hosted by these departments.
Cameras & Recorders
Cameras and recording devices are generally not permitted at events.
Accessible Seating Arrangements
Wheelchair accessible seating is ample and usually available in all price levels. For any special seating arrangements (accessible seating, aisle transfer seats, etc.) please call the Box Office at (812) 855-1103.
