At IU Auditorium, we strive to provide our guests with exceptional service, understanding that it’s the little things that sometimes matter most. Please see below for some information about our amenities and other information that will help you plan for your next visit to the Auditorium.


Refreshments are available prior to the performance and during intermission for your convenience. Refreshments may be taken into the seating area. Concession stands are located in the first floor and, for some events, the balcony lobbies.

Coat Check

Personal Items may be checked with an attendant free of charge in the Hall of Murals.

Lost and Found

Items are held at the coat check during performances. Following the performances, items may be claimed at the IU Auditorium Reception Desk Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please call (812) 855-9528.


Facilities are located in the first floor, mezzanine, and balcony lobbies. An usher will be happy to direct you to these facilities. All restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Baby changing stations are located in the first floor restrooms. A family restroom is available.

Emergency Calls

During performances, emergency calls can be received at (812) 855-1968. Please leave your seat location with your sitter or call service. Our staff will contact you immediately.

Building Emergencies

IU Auditorium is equipped with an emergency lighting and sound system. If an emergency occurs, please proceed as directed.

Personal Health Emergencies

An emergency medical technician from Bloomington Hospital is on duty during performances and can be paged by any usher manager.

Health Aids

Pain medication, antacid tablets, and throat lozenges are available for purchase. Inquire with any usher manager.

Electronic Devices

Cameras and recording devices are generally not permitted at events. Cell phones and other electronic devices must be silenced or turned off. We also request that guests refrain from text messaging as it is distracting to fellow audiences members.

Seating Policy

The front doors to the building open approximately one hour before curtain time and the doors to the seating open approximately one-half hour before curtain time. As a courtesy to performers and audience members, latecomers will not be seated until a suitable pause in the performance.

Accessible Seating Arrangements

Wheelchair accessible seating is ample and usually available in all price levels. For any special seating arrangements (accessible seating, aisle transfer seats, etc.) please call the Box Office at (812) 855-1103.

Late Seating

Due to contractual agreements, latecomers will be seated only at the discretion of the management.


All patrons of IU Auditorium, regardless of age, must have a ticket for admission, including infants and children.


IU Auditorium is a smoke-free building. Please remember that smoking is prohibited on Indiana University property.

Due to the unpredictable nature of live performances, advertised performers, event dates, and times are subject to change.
