Presented with the African American Arts Institute

We are proud to present the annual Potpourri of the Arts. Founded in 1993, Potpourri’s purpose is to embody the spirit of African American performance via its three ensembles: the African American Dance Company, the African American Choral Ensemble, and the IU Soul Revue.

With a wide range of music and choreography, these unique ensembles are sure to exhilarate audiences with their individual and combined performances. The African American Dance Company will present a broad range of movement and dance traditions from America and the African Diaspora, including African, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and other cultural forms. Then, hear the best of African American spirituals, folk songs, and gospel with the African American Choral Ensemble. To complete the line-up, IU Soul Revue will perform post WWII Black popular music—including rhythm and blues, soul, funk, and contemporary music styles. To top off the evening, all three ensembles will grace the stage together in a collaborative finale piece. Don’t miss this incredible and celebratory event.
