East meets west when the NAI-NI-CHEN DANCE COMPANY comes to IU Auditorium. The Nai-Ni Chen combines the dynamic freedom of American modern dance, with the grace and splendor of Chinese traditional dance, to create works of stunning beauty. Nai-Ni Chen is a choreographer whose fusion of dance aesthetics continues to break the boundaries of contemporary dance, and has been featured in the world’s great performance halls.

The troupe has received more than a dozen awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, and at the First China International Dance Festival was presented with the prestigious Golden Lotus Award, one of the highest honors given to a dance troupe.
