Still shy of her 30th birthday, Hilary Hahn has emerged as one of the most compelling concert violinists in the world today. Named by Time magazineas America’s best young classical musician in 2001, Hahn’s maturity, impeccable phrasing, and immaculate technique have garnered her a Grammy Award and have earned her the right to play with the world’s most acclaimed orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and New York Philharmonic.
Hilary began playing violin at the tender age of four and studied at Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute of Music under the tutelage of Jascha Brodsky. She made her major orchestral debut with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at the age of 11 and her international debut four years later in Germany performing Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Major with Lorin Maazel and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
